Riding on the DLR

Central to east London / good in wet weather / older babies and upwards

Urban living at its best (!) - a ride on the DLR is really exciting for kids, especially if you sit at the front of the train, because there’s no driver, children can pretend to drive - trust me, they will love it!

Southbank Centre

Waterloo / Embankment - Central London / good in wet weather / all ages esp. toddlers

Superb in wet weather - there are  singing lifts, lunchtime foyer concerts and corridors for energetic toddlers to roam around for hours. If you’ve never been to the South Bank in the rain with a toddler, you are in for a very pleasant surprise at how easy and child-friendly it is. The super-busy Giraffe next door is either a bonus or a headache depending on your mood!
