Capital tots thoughts:

The Natural History Museum is a place for young, enquiring minds and is superb for parents and children. Overall it’s probably better for older toddlers and children but even young ones can enjoy  the hands-on exhibits and gaze in wonder at the huge dinosaur models. There is a large entrance hall which toddlers can run around and loads for them to do including the mini-beast room which has buttons to press. The investigate room different things to touch including bird skulls, insects and the like. The NHM is busy busy which is a reflection of how good it is, but if you can avoid the weekends it won’t feel too crowded as it is so huge. It’s the kind of place where you feel you want to come back to again and again as your children get older and start to appreciate different bits.

Eating:

The NHM has a number of cafes and restaurants all of which are totally kid-friendly and have room for buggies. There is also a dedicated picnic area with a snack-bar so you can get take-away food.
